Angels Going
• Lou Jarrett McCrea, a 1st term Comanche (1954-1957) passed away April 7, 2004.
• Anne Samuel Croy, a 1st term Comanche (1952-1957), passed away in 2001. Her mother Ruthie Pope, a 1st term Comanche (1932-33, 1935), passed away in August 2005. They are survived by sister and daughter, respectively, former 1st term Tejas (1955-62), Patty Terrell.
• Allison Hall Grove, mother of current 1st term Aztec Laura Grove, passed away on November 25, 2005.
• Former Waldemar camper Joyce Yates Brooks passed away on February 13, 2006.
• Martha Kay Wood, a 1st term camper (1949-54), passed away on February 20, 2006. She was the grandmother of 1st term Tejas Maddison Hendrickson.
• Cheryl Wilson Hairston, a 1st term Tejas (1972-1977), passed away July 6, 2006. Her daughters Mary Alice and Emily were first term campers in 2006.
• Former Waldemar staff member and the daughter-in-law of former culinary team U.S. and Lucille Smith, Goldie Alphretta Mayfield Smith, passed away on September 13, 2006.
• Second Term 1966 Ideal Waldemar Girl Janie Sheppard passed away in late October after battling cancer.
• Mariwynn Watson, former Waldemar Tejas camper, passed away tragically in October as the result of a house fire. She was 78.
