The Waldemar Experience:

Waldemar Introduces New Seven-Year All-Star

Tribal colored felt "W", silver disk, gold disk, and then the diamond disk ... what Waldemar girl doesn't know this progression of all-stars, Waldemar's annual gift to campers who excel through our program. But what those of you familiar with this progression don't know is that 2007 will mark the introduction of a new all-star. Now instead of receiving the traditional engraved seven-year disk surrounded by filigree, campers will receive a silver disk with a tribal colored stone in it to mark their seventh year. Hilltoppers who are here for seven years will continue to earn the traditional Waldemar "W" and then be given the opportunity to purchase a seven-year disk in addition, if interested.

"We wanted to introduce something different for the seventh year since our traditional all-star repeated for each of a camper's fifth, sixth, and seventh years," said Meg Clark. "Now campers who receive those fifth and sixth year disks can continue to use them as drops or make them into earrings but will still have something unique and different to set apart their seventh summer spent at camp."
