There is always work to be done to keep Waldemar beautiful and ready for a summer of fun! So this year during the off-season we are working hard to cool Waldemar off a bit by re-roofing many of the “K” kampongs (K12 and K14 were ready for summer 2006!) to give added insulation and better preserve the cooler air inside. We are also adding fans back to many of our more notorious “hot” kampongs (K15, E1, and A4). During the summer of 2006 we rocked the area by picnics and camper check-in to get rid of all those constantly muddy shoes and renovated the Dining Hall bathrooms. Earlier in 2006 we overhauled Liz Pohl’s office at the barn and gave the kitchen a facelift. As usual, there are many other projects on the horizon! We are even beginning to plan future construction of a new main office! Whew!
