Special Events at Waldemar
This fall former camper and triple legacy, Ellie Burrus of Beaumont married Grant Livesay of Houston at Camp Waldemar. They had a beautiful sunset service in Tejas Chapel. Dining and dancing followed in Doris Johnson Lodge. Guests came from all over including Texas, Virginia, Florida, Tennessee, and California. Several of Ellie's former camp friends were here to share in this special event. Everyone enjoyed a fun-filled weekend including horseback riding, canoeing, yoga, hiking, and, of course, enjoying traditional delicious Waldemar cuisine. We wish them all the best!
In December, longtime Waldemar family Pat and Neil O'Brian celebrated their 50th anniversary at camp. Pat attended Waldemar in teh 1940s. Their daughters, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren have all been Waldemar girls.
